UAE Weather Update: Rain Hits Sharjah, Cloud Cover Over Dubai & Fujairah.

As the Eid Al Adha weekend continues, the UAE is experiencing unstable weather conditions, particularly in Sharjah, where heavy rain has persisted since early morning. The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued yellow and orange alerts due to convective cloud formation, especially in eastern regions — a clear sign that more rainfall is expected in the coming days.

Rain Expected to Continue Until Monday

According to forecasts, rain will likely continue through Monday, with increased cloud cover across Dubai, Fujairah, and nearby areas. Precipitation is expected to last until at least 8 PM today, making outdoor activities a bit tricky over the long weekend.

High Humidity and Rising Temperatures

Sharjah currently records a temperature of 34°C, while Dubai is slightly cooler at 33°C. However, humidity levels are soaring at nearly 90%, making it feel closer to 41°C. It’s definitely sticky and uncomfortable, especially during peak afternoon hours.

Sunday Weather Forecast: Cloudy with a Chance of Rain

Looking ahead to Sunday, June 8, the UAE can expect fair to partly cloudy skies, with convective cloud formation likely in the eastern and northern regions. Scattered rainfall is possible, along with a gradual increase in temperatures throughout the day. By night, humidity levels are set to rise, bringing the potential for fog or mist, particularly in coastal and inland areas.

Wind and Sea Conditions

Winds will generally be light to moderate, blowing from the southeast to northeast at speeds of 10–25 km/h, occasionally gusting up to 40 km/h in some areas. The sea will remain slightly calm in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea, making it safe for coastal travel and activities, weather permitting.
