UAE President Orders Release of Inmates Ahead of Eid Al Adha.
In a heartwarming gesture ahead of Eid Al Adha, the UAE President, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has ordered the release of 963 inmates from correctional and penal institutions across the country.
Along with the release, the President has pledged to cover all financial obligations associated with their sentences, helping the individuals and their families start a new chapter without financial burden.
This generous initiative is part of a broader humanitarian effort to promote forgiveness, second chances, and family unity. It reflects the values of compassion and mercy that are deeply rooted in Emirati society.
In total, more than 1,400 inmates will be released this Eid across various Emirates, with similar announcements made by leaders in Sharjah and Fujairah.
Every year, such pardons are granted around religious occasions in the UAE, giving inmates an opportunity to rebuild their lives and reconnect with their loved ones.
