In a major disciplinary move, the UAE Football Association has announced the suspension of two players following an incident during the national team camp on June 7.

Sharjah Club’s Khalid Al Dhanhani and Shabab Al Ahli’s Sultan Adel have both been handed a 5-match suspension in local competitions. The disciplinary committee confirmed their names in an official statement.

Along with the suspension, both players have been fined Dh500,000 each. That’s not all — the association also decided to exclude them from the national team roster going forward.

National team manager Yani Allah stated that the action was taken in line with the disciplinary and sanctions regulations for national teams.

The move sends a strong message about maintaining discipline and professionalism within the squad, especially during national duty.
