Dubai Metro extends weekend hours from next month
Trains on the Red and Green lines will run later on Fridays and Saturdays, the RTA has confirmed.
Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has confirmed that the Dubai Metro will run later on weekends, giving residents an extra two hours to get home from nights out, events and late shifts.
What is changing
From 1 November, both the Red and Green lines will operate until 2am on Fridays and Saturdays. Weekday hours stay the same.
The RTA says the change follows a review of ridership during last season's major events, when stations near venues saw peak demand after midnight.
