RTA to Launch New Bus Routes and Upgrade Existing Services in Dubai.

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the launch of five new public bus routes and the enhancement of nine existing ones starting August 29. The initiative is designed to meet the growing mobility needs of residents while strengthening the city’s overall public transport network.

New Bus Routes.

  • Route 31: Will connect Dubai Outsource City and Dubai Silicon Oasis, with services every 20 minutes during peak hours.

  • Route 62A and 62B: The current Route 62 will be split into two. Route 62A will serve Al Qusais Industrial Area and Al Qusais Metro Station, while Route 62B will connect Al Qusais Metro Station to Ras Al Khor – Samari Residences, both running every 30 minutes in peak times.

  • Route F26A: Will run between Onpassive Bus Station and Al Quoz Industrial Area 4, providing a convenient link every 30 minutes.

  • Route X91: An express service between Al Ghubaiba Bus Station and Jebel Ali Bus Station. Unlike Route 91, it will not stop at Business Bay Metro Station, which will instead be served by the adjusted Route 91.

Upgrades to Existing Routes.

  • Route 7: Now a two-way service between Al Quoz Bus Station and Al Satwa Bus Station.

  • Route 91: Shortened to operate between Al Ghubaiba Bus Station and Business Bay Metro Station.

  • Route F62: Converted into a two-way route linking Emirates Metro Station and Nad Al Hamar.

  • Route 77: Revised to run in both directions between Baniyas Square Metro Station and Al Garhoud.

  • Route X25: Shortened to serve between Al Karama Bus Station and Dubai Silicon Oasis.

  • Route 50: Will no longer serve Dubai Outsource City, with further adjustments in International City planned for Phase Two.

  • Route 21A: Shortened to run between Al Quoz Bus Station and Al Ghubaiba Bus Station.

  • Route 21B: Shortened to operate between Al Ghubaiba Bus Station and Al Quoz Bus Station.

  • Route J01: Revised routing within Jumeirah Village Circle.

A Step Towards Smarter Mobility.

RTA confirmed that these changes are part of a long-term vision to expand and modernize Dubai’s public bus services. The goal is to ensure seamless integration with the Metro, Tram, and marine transport systems, making public transport the preferred choice for residents and visitors across the emirate.
