A brand-new 1.8km, three-lane, signal-controlled flyover is now officially open on Al Yalayis Street, helping improve traffic flow and making it easier to access Dubai Investment Park (DIP). Announced by Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), the project is designed to enhance road connectivity and streamline movement in one of the city’s key areas.

Built in Collaboration with Etihad Rail

The flyover was built in collaboration with Etihad Rail and plays a major role in ensuring smooth train operations along the UAE’s national railway network. The new structure separates the movement of trains and vehicles by allowing trains to run safely within the median strip of Al Yalayis Street, while vehicles pass overhead without interruption.

Enhanced Traffic Flow and Safety

According to the RTA, the flyover will help maintain the smooth flow of traffic by completely separating vehicles from trains. This major infrastructure upgrade also features right-turn slip roads — one for vehicles arriving from Dubai to access DIP, and another for those exiting toward Sheikh Zayed Road. These additions are aimed at optimising traffic movement and boosting road safety for all users.

Future Expansion Plans

The project doesn’t stop here. The flyover will eventually be extended towards Jumeirah Golf Estates, with plans to construct a two-lane road in each direction. This extension will further enhance connectivity and ensure even smoother traffic flow to and from this vital residential and commercial area.
