Emirates has officially opened a brand-new luxury check-in lounge at Dubai International Airport (DXB), offering a premium and serene start to the travel experience for its First Class and Skywards Platinum members.

Located in Terminal 3, the lounge – called Emirates First – replaces the airline’s previous First Class check-in area, which was closed earlier this year for renovations. The new space reflects Emirates’ commitment to providing elevated ground services that match the excellence of its in-flight experience.

What to Expect at Emirates First?

The check-in lounge provides a calm, exclusive environment away from the usual airport crowds. The design includes grand columns, a mix of wooden and marble flooring, soft carpeting, and plush seating made of leather and fine fabrics. Subtle lighting and the absence of digital screens add to the lounge’s peaceful vibe, while Rolex clocks keep guests aware of global time zones.

Guests have the option to check in via iPads from the comfort of their seats or use traditional check-in desks. After completing formalities, passengers can quickly move through security and immigration and head to one of Emirates’ three First Class lounges in Terminal 3.

An Elevated Ground Experience.

According to Adel Al Redha, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Operating Officer, Emirates First reflects the airline’s focus on privacy, convenience, and high-end service. “We invest heavily in upgrading our ground products,” he said, “and this new space will offer a unique and private environment to our First Class customers and Skywards Platinum members.”

Additional Perks for First Class Flyers.

In addition to the new lounge, First Class passengers departing from DXB can enjoy Emirates’ complimentary chauffeur service. The airline now operates seven lounges in Terminal 3—three for First Class, three for Business Class, and one for all premium customers.
