While past mega-events like Expo 2020 and COP28 didn’t directly boost Lapita’s footfall, the anticipated airport expansion is expected to change that.

“In the interim, strategic efforts are being made to continue building footfall and strengthening the resort’s market presence,” El Saadani stated.

Dubai World Central’s new passenger terminal is designed to accommodate future travel demand, with an initial capacity of 150 million passengers, expandable to 260 million upon full completion. This expansion aligns with Dubai’s vision of becoming a global tourism and business hub.
