Dubai has officially launched the ‘Our Flexible Summer’ initiative for all government entities, aiming to boost work-life balance and employee well-being during the peak summer months.

The initiative, rolled out by the Dubai Government Human Resources Department (DGHR), follows a successful pilot phase in 2024. Now, it’s being adopted across government departments for summer 2025.

Key Dates.

The flexible work schedule will be active from July 1 to September 12, 2025. During this period, government entities have the freedom to implement the initiative based on their operational needs.

How It Works?

Employees will be offered two flexible schedule options while maintaining the standard five-day workweek. This allows staff to better manage their time, avoid peak heat hours, and enjoy a healthier work-life balance.
