Dubai Announces Free Public Parking and Extended Transport Services for Eid Al Fitr 2025

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced special transport and parking arrangements for the upcoming Eid Al Fitr holiday. These adjustments aim to facilitate ease of travel and convenience for residents and visitors during the festive period.

Free Public Parking During Eid

All public parking in Dubai will be free of charge from Shawwal 1 to 3, except for multi-level parking terminals. Regular paid parking will resume on Shawwal 4. This initiative is expected to ease congestion and provide added convenience for those celebrating the holiday.

Dubai Metro Extended Hours.

To accommodate the increased demand for public transport, Dubai Metro’s Red and Green Line stations will operate on an extended schedule:

  • Saturday, March 29: 5:00 AM to 1:00 AM (next day)

  • Sunday, March 30: 8:00 AM to 1:00 AM (next day)

  • Monday to Wednesday, March 31 – April 2: 5:00 AM to 1:00 AM (next day)

Dubai Tram Extended Hours

Dubai Tram will also follow an adjusted schedule:

  • Saturday to Monday, March 29 to 31: 6:00 AM to 1:00 AM (next day)

  • Sunday, March 30: 9:00 AM to 1:00 AM (next day)

Bus Service Disruptions.

The RTA has announced temporary service suspensions for select intercity bus routes:

  • Route E100 (Al Ghubaiba Bus Station to Abu Dhabi) will be out of service from the afternoon of Ramadan 28 (Friday) until Shawwal 3. Passengers can use Route E101 from Ibn Battuta Bus Station to Abu Dhabi as an alternative.

  • Route E102 will also be suspended from Ramadan 28 until Shawwal 3.

Vehicle Testing and Customer Happiness Centres.
  • Vehicle testing centres will remain closed from Shawwal 1 to 3, resuming normal operations on Shawwal 4.

  • Customer Happiness Centres will also be closed during this period.

  • However, Smart Customer Happiness Centres in Umm Ramool, Deira, Al Barsha, Al Kifaf, and RTA Headquarters will continue to operate 24/7.

For detailed service timings of public buses and marine transport, visit the RTA website or check the S’hail app.

These temporary changes ensure a smooth and efficient transport experience for all commuters and visitors during the joyous occasion of Eid Al Fitr. Stay updated with the latest Dubai news on iknowuae.com!
