Ajman Bans Petrol Transport Vehicles from Parking in Non-Designated Areas.

Ajman has introduced a new regulation prohibiting petrol transport vehicles from parking or stopping in non-designated areas. The move is aimed at reducing risks posed by hazardous and highly flammable materials in the emirate.

Key Restrictions.

Vehicles carrying petroleum products are no longer permitted to park in densely populated zones or in areas not specifically designated by local authorities. This measure prioritises public safety and minimises the dangers associated with fuel transportation.

Penalties for Violations.

The Ajman government has outlined strict fines for violators:

  • Dh5,000 for the first offence

  • Dh10,000 for repeat offences

  • Dh20,000 plus vehicle impoundment and public auction for a third violation

Role of the Supreme Energy Committee.

The Ajman Supreme Energy Committee has been authorised to detect and document violations through judicial officers, enforce penalties, and take administrative actions. This includes suspending or cancelling petroleum trading permits for non-compliant establishments.

Immediate Removal of Hazards.

Any violation in a densely populated area or one that poses a risk to public safety will be removed immediately, with costs charged to the establishment’s owner.

Implementation Timeline.

The decision will come into effect 30 days from its issuance, marking a significant step toward enhancing safety and regulation in Ajman.
