Abu Dhabi Signs Deal to Bring Sphere Venues to the Middle East and North Africa.

Abu Dhabi is set to revolutionize entertainment in the region with the signing of a major deal with U.S.-based Sphere Entertainment. The agreement grants the UAE capital exclusive rights to build Sphere venues across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) for the next 10 years.

This move follows the official announcement of Sphere Abu Dhabi, which will be the first of its kind outside the U.S. While details such as the location and opening date are still under wraps, the venue is expected to replicate the success of the original Las Vegas Sphere—a 115-meter-tall structure with a 20,000-person capacity and jaw-dropping 16K resolution wraparound screens.

The Sphere in Vegas has hosted immersive concerts by global artists like U2, the Eagles, and Backstreet Boys, and is regarded as one of the most advanced entertainment venues in the world.

According to Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of DCT Abu Dhabi, the new venue will “seamlessly integrate advanced technology with captivating storytelling.” This partnership marks a bold step forward in elevating Abu Dhabi’s cultural and entertainment landscape.
