New Paid Parking Zones Activated in Abu Dhabi.

Abu Dhabi has introduced new paid parking zones across several key locations starting from July 10, 2025, as part of efforts to enhance traffic flow and regulate public parking. The announcement was made by Q Mobility, confirming the activation of the Mawaqif paid parking system in strategic areas within the city.

New Locations for Paid Parking.

The newly activated zones include:

  • Eastern Mangroves

  • Dolphin Park

  • Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street sectors: Park 1, 2, 4, and 5

  • Al Qurm Plaza

These areas have been selected to ensure better management of parking spaces and to ease congestion in high-traffic zones.

Infrastructure Improvements and Signage!

Prior to the activation, Q Mobility completed extensive infrastructure work including curb painting, installation of directional signs, and placement of awareness signage to guide the public. These improvements aim to make the transition to paid parking smooth and user-friendly.

Digital Payment Through Darb App.

Motorists are encouraged to use the Darb app for digital payment, ensuring a seamless parking experience. Clear instructions are displayed on-site, and users are expected to adhere to signage and Mawaqif regulations already in force across the capital.

Efforts to Improve Parking Experience.

Q Mobility stated that this move is part of a broader strategy to enhance public parking usage, regulate vehicle movement, and reduce traffic congestion. The new zones reflect a commitment to providing efficient solutions for urban mobility in Abu Dhabi.
