Rain and Hail Reported in Al Ain Despite 49.2°C Heat.

Rain and hail were reported in parts of Al Ain on Friday evening, catching many residents by surprise as temperatures soared to a scorching 49.2°C in Sweihan, Al Ain.

According to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), light to moderate rain fell over Malaqit, while heavier showers were seen in Khatm Al Shiklah. The Met Office issued orange and yellow alerts for parts of the region due to the intensity of the rainfall.

The weather remains unstable heading into the weekend, with forecasts predicting more rain and cloudy skies over the eastern parts of the UAE. Residents are advised to stay cautious, especially in areas prone to sudden weather changes.

The lowest temperature recorded across the country was 24.6°C in Jabel Al Heben (Fujairah) and Barakah 2 (Al Dhafra Region). Meanwhile, humid conditions are expected to persist through the nights and early mornings, particularly along the coastal regions.
