Sheikh Hamdan announces Golden Visa for Nurses!

Dubai Nurses to Receive Golden Visas in Recognition of 15+ Years of Service.

Dubai is once again showing appreciation for its frontline heroes. In a major announcement, nurses who have served with Dubai Health for over 15 years will now be eligible for the prestigious Golden Visa. This directive comes from Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence of the UAE.

The initiative was announced on International Nurses Day, observed annually on May 12, and highlights the leadership’s ongoing commitment to honouring healthcare professionals. Sheikh Hamdan praised the vital role nurses play in Dubai’s healthcare system, calling them essential partners in building a healthier, more vibrant society. He also commended their daily efforts, compassion, and dedication to the wellbeing of others.

This isn’t the first time the UAE has shown gratitude to its healthcare workers. Back in November 2021, Golden Visas were granted to frontline workers and their families in recognition of their contributions during the pandemic. More recently, in October 2024, outstanding private school teachers were also granted Golden Visas on the occasion of World Teachers Day.

By extending this recognition to long-serving nurses, Dubai continues to build a culture that values loyalty, service, and excellence—setting a strong example for how communities can uplift those who care for them.
